South of Wilson

Area Details

South of Wilson is the narrow area south of HWY 22 that is west of the Snake River. It’s natural boundaries to the west is the Tetons and Snake River Range. The majority of properties in this area are off of Fall Creek Road, with a handful of properties off Wenzel Lane and Green Lane.

South of Wilson is a great spot for wildlife viewing, as Fish Creek and the Snake River merge in this area. In fact, a herd of elk pass through this area in the winter and spring on their way to and from the parks. Moose frequent this area, especially in the channels of Fish Creek. Bald eagles nest in this area, and forest dwellers, such as pine martens, raccoons, and owls are frequent in this area.

South of Wilson, like it’s Northern counterpart, withholds it’s value. Seperate from the tourist areas of Jackson with plenty of nearby space and forest access in several spots along Fall Creek including Munger Mountain, South of Wilson is a great place to be for the avid outdoorsman. Valley, Sleeping Indian, and Teton Views can be found in this more remote part of Jackson Hole.

Large and small single families homes and ranches make up the bulk of properties in this area. With access to Wilson Elementary School as well, property values remain high in this area for single family homes.
